Abstract

This thesis focuses on possible areas for improvement of internal audits of a quality management system in an engineering company. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the current state of internal auditing in the company and to find ways to improve it. The first part of the thesis includes definitions of quality and quality management system and looks at the process of internal audits in detail. The aim of the second part of the thesis is to analyse internal auditing in the company and it also includes suggestions for improvement.
