Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of sludge thickening after the intensification of the process at the wastewater treatment plant in Opava and Nový Jičín. The theoretical part describes the sludge management of wastewater treatment plants, the processes taking place during sludge thickening and equipment in which thickening takes place. The next point of the theoretical part describes the process of flocculation and coagulation and the description of flocculating agents. The theoretical part describes the thickening processes at the wastewater treatment plants and interprets the results of the sludge thickening process, which are evaluated at the end of this thesis.
