Abstract
The main aim of the thesis “Tourism as a dimension of development in Olomouc region“ is the analysis and evaluation of the Marketing study of the tourism in Olomouc region for period 2011 – 2013 with an outlook to year 2016, creation of the proposals and recommendations for its improvement and also development of the tourism in this region. The first part is dedicated to the general theory of the tourism and its development. In the next part, there is a profile of the Olomouc region. The third part includes an analysis of the Marketing study of the tourism in Olomouc region. The proposals and recommendations derived from the survey data, analysis and interviews are component of the thesis. There have been used qualitative and quantitative methods of the research, semi-structured interviews, analysis, synthesis and induction in the thesis.
