Abstract

The subject of Diploma thesis "Conversion of a realizing industrial building, completion of a health centre and apartment buildings in Dolní Životice" is the building conversion of the existing agricultural complex situated in the centre of the village which is in direct proximity to the baroque castle with garden. The subject of diploma thesis is to restore the area using the adjacent garden to grow herbs, to create internal gardens, to add the necessary spaces for complex management. Another task is to add new buildings of the health centre and apartment buildings in connection with the aforementioned objects. The concept consists of the restoration of existing buildings, the addition of civic facilities, the creation of individual functional areas of the public space with subsequent interconnection with the castle garden. The set of objects and the public space create a new core of the village.
