Abstract
The theme of the diploma thesis is the analysis of convenience stores position on the Czech retail market.
The priority objective of this thesis is to analyze convenience stores in light of structural and instrumental characters on the Czech retail market. To check of viability of C Stores in Czech conditions with a view to Czech customers needs is the other objective of thesis.
The thesis is divided into five main chapters. Characteristic of the actual Czech retail trade is described in the second section. Theoretic base of the analysis of retail, such as categorization of retail stores in Europe and USA etc., is described in the third chapter. Methodology of the data collection is provided in the fourth chapter which is divided into two parts – preliminary and realization one. The analyses of the convenience stores are described in the fifth and sixth chapter, where the main results of the research are explained by verbal and graphic description.
The most important invention of this thesis is that conception of C Stores should adapt their structural and instrumental characters to Czech customers. And then this retail concept may be successful.
