Abstract

Diploma thesis is focused on design and realization of user interface for the intelligent house (iHouse). This interface is one of many functional blocks that are interconnected and form complex concept of the whole iHouse. The concept of the iHouse is developed by telecommunication technology department and is supervised by Ing. Michal Jahelka, Ph.D. This diploma thesis is its inseparable part. The objective of this diploma thesis is the user interface which must comply with the following criteria due to cooperation and integration with other parts of the developed iHouse. 1. The interface has to be operable by touchscreen display without the necessary to using keyboard or mouse. 2. The designed software has to be able to run on PC with low power consumption because the economic-energetic criteria are required for whole iHouse. 3. The architecture of the designed user interface must be made in that way that can easy expand to other controlled parts of the house in future. 4. The software has to be compatibly integrated with already designed solution in order to ensure required functionality. 5. The interface has to be accessible both locally from the house and by internet access from arbitrary location. 6. The solution has to be available through internet browsers independently on operation system. Further, it must be optimized for mobile devices. 7. The designed solution has to be sufficiently protected against attacks.
