Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to determine whether the quality of governance has a significant impact on the quality of life of the inhabitants, especially on the poverty rate. The thesis is divided into five main chapters. In the second chapter are described the main theoretical bases. The third chapter includes a research of case studies that have been already written about this issue. The fourth chapter contains an analysis whether the worldwide governance indicators influence the poverty ratio in selected developing countries.
