Abstract

The topic of the thesis is evaluation is a company’s investment in long-term assets whilst making use of selected methods. The Stavební geologie - GKV, Ltd. is the stakeholder. The company plans to purchase new mechanical engineering equipment. The first part of the thesis deals with the characteristics of decision making concerning the investment and with an analysis of the methods used. The second, practical, part focusses on the application of the methods concerning the actual investment. The thesis is concluded with the final evaluation of the investment.
