Abstract

This bachelor thesis describes the origin and the importance of brown coal. Another topics is th treatment of mined coal and its importance. Coal treatment plant in Ledvice is described here from its beginnings to the present days. Individual processes and technological sections are included. Special importance is placed on coal transportation methods with a focus on conveyor belts. Conveyor belts are described as a technological unit and individual parts are analyzed. The purpouse of this bachelor's thesis is to examin the feasibility of increasing capacity of conveyor belts in Ledvice Coal treatment plant without significant modifications to the existing equipment.
