Abstract
This thesis is focused on the removal of nitrates from groundwater by electrodialysis. The theoretical part deals with the general problem of nitrate in groundwater. Also are described further methods which can also be used for the removal of nitrates. In the practical part, electrodialysis is subjected to three different samples of groundwater with excess nitrate. The results are compared with the limits applicable to drinking water.
