Společenská odpovědnost podniku ArcelorMittal Ostrava, a. s.

Abstract

This bachelor thesis is dealing with the concept of social responsibility of the concern ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s. In general, this concept belongs among new ones in the Czech Republic that is why it is not so famous. But currently companies have begun to concern more about socially responsible behaviour because they see in it an advantage in competion. The main goal is to analyze social responsibility of joint-stock company ArcelorMittal Ostrava and describe particular fields which it handles with. The thesis focuses on company relationship with its employees, environmental policy, transparency and volunteering. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first one is focused on explaining the concept of social responsibility and its development. The second chapter is dealing with a specific company. It acquaints with the creation of the company and its history. And afterwards it analyzes social responsibility of the company. The last chapter processes the topic from journalistic view in four journalistic articles – editorial, interview, survey, review.
