Abstract

This thesis deals is about history of mining in the Silesian Ostrava Castle. The first part describes the area of interest are described geology of the Upper Silesian Basin, associated with the development of coal and processed as such is the history of the Silesian Ostrava Castle. The following chapter is devoted to mining in the area. A substantial part of coal mining in the vicinity of the Silesian Ostrava Castle, from the development of the coal mining industry, through the characteristics of selected former mining works, the technique, the method of mining and the impact of mining on the environment. In the last section are designed to opportunities for further tourism opportunities, is also prepared draft information sheet that can be used for example in the area of the Silesian Ostrava Castle to inform visitors about mining in the area.
