Abstract

This thesis deals with electrical power quality issues. The first part is dedicated to the theoretical analysis of electrical measurements. There are mentioned the basic terms and measurement methods. It is followed by the measurement errors and uncertainties. There are also described the measuring converters, virtual measuring instruments, measuring instruments with interface and A/D converters. Next part presents the description of electrical power quality in perspective of standards ČSN. There is presented the standard ČSN EN 50160 and its requirements for individual parameters. In order to compare this standard, an assessment of harmonic voltages in perspective of standards ČSN EN 61000-2-2 and ČSN EN 61000-2-4 was presented. Next, there were described various makers’ devices for monitoring electrical power quality including two modern electric meters. In the practical part there is the actual data analysis fulfilled; there are evaluated individual odd harmonic voltages up to the 25th order, THD, flicker and unbalance.
