Abstract
The aim of the thesis is to determine the current state of the BOZP system and the subsequent identification of its shortcomings in the selected employer together with the development of a new internal directive on the provision of OOPP. A research survey was used to identify any imperfections and based on its evaluation, recommendations for improvement in selected areas of BOZP are presented at the end of the thesis.
For the purpose of the thesis, the methods of questioning, analysis, comparison and deduction, partly generalization and analogy are used. The most important method used is the questionnaire survey. Prior to its implementation, hypotheses were established, which were either confirmed or refuted after the evaluation of the questionnaire survey. The result of the questionnaire survey is also verified by observational method.
The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts.
The theoretical part deals with the concept of labour law and its anchoring in the system of law with the definition of labour relations. Furthermore, the theory continues with the development of occupational safety and health from a historical perspective to the current concept of BOZP. There is also mention of BOZP in the European Union.
The practical part deals with the analysis and solution of the occupational health and safety problem at a selected employer. First, basic information about the company is given. Further sub-sections are devoted to establishing the current status in selected areas of the BOZP system, such as economic aspects, occupational health services, accident rates, training methods and the provision of personal protective equipment. This is followed by a research section. Based on the results from the research part, the status of the BOZP system in the company is evaluated and the gaps resulting from the research part are identified. Based on the findings, recommendations for improvement are made, including the drafting of a new internal directive on the provision of OOPP.
