Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the optimization of websites built on the WordPress platform, addressing both SEO and site speed to improve user experience. The theoretical part explains the importance of search engine optimization, describes the basic principles of SEO, and outlines key technical and content factors that influence search rankings. It also covers essential web performance metrics such as LCP, INP, and CLS, along with tools used for measurement, including Google PageSpeed Insights and Google Lighthouse.

The practical section is dedicated to analyzing and optimizing the website of the company Vstřikovací systémy pro plast s.r.o. (ivsp.cz). Several weaknesses were identified, such as poorly optimized titles and meta descriptions, improper keyword use, heading structure issues, and slow image loading. Using plugins like Rank Math and WP-Optimize, a series of improvements were implemented that led to better SEO scores and faster page loading.
