Abstract
The subject of this diploma thesis is the study of reoxidation processes in high purity steel which contact with the atmosphere during casting. For verification of the effectiveness of both protections casting stream were numerical models created which were on the ability of the individual shields tested. The criteria assessments were flow rates of argon, swirl, or potential influences of argon stream during steel casting. For this verification were two types of geometry protection solutions of casting stream used.
Each solution contained several speeds simulation and with the knowledge of numerical modeling were some additional geometry adjustments done. Graphical results of velocity flow are continually evaluated among themselves, which speed is better and why. The conclusion considers both geometric solutions with recommendations for implementation.
