Abstract

This diploma thesis solves the design of an optimization solution for material stocks in a selected company. The aim was to optimize the required yearly supply of material within the Kanban system. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defines production and its optimization, logistics, planning and production management together with Kanban. The following is an introduction to the company, which follows on from the practical part "Optimization proposal in SCHOTT CR, s. r. o.". There is explained the Kanban system in the company in this part, then is created optimization of Kanban cards and the yearly consumption of material is associated with it. The original and new consumption are compared and the creation of financial savings is shown graphically. The diploma thesis ends with a conclusion which contains a summary of the results and recommendations.
