Determinanty objemu poskytnutých hypoték v České republice

Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the determinants of the volume of mortgage loans in the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is to identify the main determinants of the volume of mortgage lending in the Czech Republic. In this thesis, the determinants of the volume of mortgage lending are determined on the basis of an analysis of the empirical literature. Subsequently, the determinants are verified using regression analysis. Monthly data from 2004 to 2021 are used to construct the regression model. The explanatory variable of this model is the variable loans, which represents the volume of new mortgage loans in the Czech Republic. The explanatory variables are the Industrial Production Index (IPP), the Annual Percentage Rate of Charge (APRC), the general unemployment rate (U) and the inflation rate (CPI). In the first chapter, the mortgage sector is theoretically defined. The second chapter characterizes the mortgage sector in the Czech Republic. The last chapter evaluates the various determinants of mortgage volume in the Czech Republic.
