Proces konverze základnové stanice při přechodu na standard 5G

Abstract

The content of this bachelor thesis is a characterization of the new fifth generation of mobile networks, comparison with the previous generation of 4G, description of the individual steps in the construction of a new base station supporting the 5G standard and the new architecture of this generation of mobile networks is explained. In the practical part of this thesis, the procedure of reconfiguring the base station from 4G to 5G standard is presented, a new power supply for the technology, battery backup, design of a new antenna system, design of optical connection and design of microwave link are proposed. The practical part also includes the calculation of the electromagnetic field that affects the stay and movement of people in the immediate vicinity of the antennas in the context of current legislation, especially in terms of exposure to non-ionizing radiation, and the analysis of the power consumption of the base station during the transition to the 5G standard. The last point of this work is the evaluation of the given reconfiguration and the results from the measurements.
