Abstract

This thesis deals with the treatment technology for coal carbonization. The work deals with the specific technology that is described coke handling plant in Třinecké železárny a.s. The introductory part is devoted to treatment technology of coal. This technology is engaged by milling to the desired particle size. Another part is characterized by carbonization of coal, means coke oven process for the production of coke. The last part describes the chemical part of coke handling plant, treatment of secondary raw materials and by-products of coke. Properties of coke, as the final product of carbonization process, are an important part of the conditions for the production of pig iron.
