Abstract
The subject of the Bachelor’s thesis is financial performance of the Government of the Czech Republic. Its objective is to evaluate the financial performance of the Government of the Czech Republic according to analytical indicators of 2020 and compare their development with 2014. The Bachelor’s thesis is structured into six chapters. In the theoretical part, the emphasis is put on the system of the Government of the Czech Republic. In the practical part, the methodology of examination and evaluation using the key analytical indicators of performance is clarified. The results of the internal wage demands, external wage demands, operating costs, property operating costs and property energy costs of the Government of the Czech Republic for the year of 2020 are then compared to the results of the government and other organizational units of the state for the year of 2014. The evaluation results showed that according to actual calculated values for 2020, there was a decrease in case of three key analytical indicators out of the five monitored compared to 2014. Therefore, the resulting values of financial performance calculated in accordance with the indicators within the conditions of the government are questionable, partial and without a deeper knowledge context and analysis of specific conditions don’t allow for clear conclusions within an effective and useful use of public funds.
