Abstract
The history and present media, laws, which controls media and distribution of public service media and private media are describe in this diploma thesis.The reason is explanation of situtation which is suscribe in this thesis. Thanks to media distribution there are different sources of funding – the revenue from advertising and license fees. The author focuses to advertise in periodicals, the method of determining the price, their advantages and disadvantages as well as important attributes of the advertisements.
This thesis detect major advertisers Týden Journal and their influence on the resulting media products. Given the increasing number of newspapers in the advertising pages, advertisers can realize their power, because that may affect the editorial staff. Therefore, there is an emphasis on the analysis of articles in the Týden Journal which inform about biggest advertisers and evaluate their contents.
