Geochemické studium vybraných sintrových povlaků vysrážených z důlních vod na ložisku Zlaté Hory

Abstract

The thesis focuses on the geochemical composition of colored sinter coatings precipitated from mine waters at the Zlaté Hory deposit – east. Geochemical modeling, which preceded the actual determination of the geochemical composition of these coatings, was based on knowledge of the chemistry of mine waters. Three sampling points were selected from which mine waters were collected for chemical analysis. The data obtained from chemical analyses were applied for geochemical modeling in the programs The Geochemist’s Workbench and PHREEQC. Furthermore, five solid sinter samples were collected for analysis using an electron microprobe. The outputs of the mine water and solid sample analyses were subsequently compared with each other and the conditions for the formation of colored sinter at a given location were inferred from them.
