Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with the stability of retaining geotechnical structures for transport construction. The work is divided into three parts. The first one is the theoretical part, in which retaining geotechnical structures, their assessment, and monitoring possibilities of these retaining structures are presented. The following section presents the assessed site and construction D1 01191. C in Brno, its geological and hydrogeological conditions, and the individual retaining structures on this construction. The conclusion of this thesis is the subsequent proposal of an alternative solution for one of the selected retaining geotechnical structures from the assessed construction, including a model static analysis. The static analysis of the model is performed using the Plaxis 2D program.
