Možnosti čištění vybraných důlních vod v lokalitě Most

Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with mine waters in the locality of Most lake, their characteristics and possibilities of their purification. In the practical part will be described and tested the chosen method of purification of selected mine water from the Most region. Mine water is discharged in a controlled manner into surface streams. In terms of the composition of mine waters and their qualitative properties, in particular increased concentrations of solutes such as sulphates, contents of iron and manganese ions, together with the potential to dissolve some heavy metals, could affect water quality in surface streams. Disruption of qualitative conditions in the aquatic environment of streams can endanger the entire ecosystem following the stream. From the point of view of the ecosystem, we are talking about the disturbance of the population of certain fish prone to changes in water quality, as well as plants. In terms of shortages of water resources, it is possible to consider mine water as one of the sources. After purification, this water could theoretically be used as one of the sources of drinking or utility water according to the selected quality requirements.
