Abstract
The EU is trying to achieve the overall harmonious development of the EU as a whole and to alleviate regional imbalances through the strengthening of economic, social and territorial cohesion. Implementation of cohesion policy takes place in seven-year cycles and its funds have been used over the years on tens of thousands of projects. All EU member states and the EU as a whole benefited from the projects in terms of economic growth and job creation.
The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the relevant grant titles to support activities in the field of employment on the basis of project approaches used in practice, i.e. the project summary and analysis of the funding opportunities related to a particular project, and to develop a grant application based on these activities (according to the selected relevant subsidy title) to co-finance the project from European funds in the electronic system IS KP 14+ used in the project practice of the Czech Republic.
This thesis consists of five chapters, including three thematic chapters that are crucial and they are accompanied by an introduction and conclusion. The second chapter covers the basic terminology of project management. The third chapter focuses on the theoretical basis of economic, social and territorial cohesion policy in the programming period 2014-2020. The fourth chapter of this diploma thesis deals with project applications for grants under the European Structural and Investment Fund.
