Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses specifically on bankruptcy proceedings and their associated issues in both the Czech Republic and Poland. The main objective is to compare the key aspects of bankruptcy proceedings in these two jurisdictions. The theoretical part outlines the historical development of insolvency law, which serves as the foundation of the current legal framework, including bankruptcy. It also provides a detailed examination of the legal regulation of bankruptcy in both countries. The practical part of the thesis presents a comparative analysis of the relevant legal frameworks, complemented by an evaluation of statistical data. Furthermore, it includes practical case studies of bankruptcy proceedings in the Czech Republic and Poland. The final chapter discusses current challenges faced by the insolvency systems and bankruptcy procedures in both countries. The thesis concludes with a summary of the main findings, along with possible recommendations.
