Design a konstrukce krytí sportovního automobilu

Abstract

This thesis addresses the design of the rear section of the SC Apex, small electric sports car. The theoretical section focuses on vehicle aerodynamics, summarizing the history of aerodynamics in motorsports, describing the components that influence a car’s aerodynamic properties, and explaining key terms related to aerodynamics. Furthermore, the theoretical section provides a summary of the legislation that may influence the design of the rear section of the vehicle. The practical section focuses on the actual design of the rear section of the vehicle, where the main components consist of the diffuser, wheel covers, battery box covers, and the supporting structure. Subsequently, the thesis describes the process of creating manufacturing documentation, which includes a description of the geometric requirements for creating molds for the production of components made of composite materials, as well as a description of various mold manufacturing methods. The final section of the thesis compares the aerodynamic properties of the vehicle before and after the design of the rear section.
