Abstract

This diploma thesis studies the process of biosorption of removal Zn (II) from aqueous solution by using biosorbents troudnatec pásovaný (Fomitopsis pinicola). Collecting of sorbent took place in Kravaře in Silesia. First, the sorbent was mechanically adjusted to smaller grain-size and then was screened into two grain-size fraction of <0,5 and 0,5 - 1 mm. Then was the sorbent activated by sodium hydroxide 0,1 mol l-1 and 1 mol l-1 for 30 and 60 minutes. Then followed kinetics of the sorbent on six fixed times of 10; 20; 40; 60; 120 and 180 minutes, and for comparison was done a measurement of non-activated sorbent. The best adsorption efficiency achieved sample activated by sodium hydroxide, 0,1 mol l-1 for 30 minutes, the grain size fraction of <0,5 mm. This value was then used to study the best pH. The biggest activity was achieved at pH 6,0. For evaluation of the adsorption isotherms was chosen pH 6,0. Measured and calculated results were described in Langmuir and Freundlich mathematical model in linear and non-linear form. The Langmuir model describes the resulting values better than the Freundlich model.
