Role informačních a komunikačních technologií v ekonomice středně velkých měst

Abstract

Nowadays, we observe a development of information and communication technologies sector, not only in corporates sector, but in households or public services too. ICT companies can produce high added value and they reach high profits. IT specialist can earn above avarage salary. For these reasons, it´s important to research ICT sector and this diploma thesis is intended to that. The Impact of ICT sector can lead to different effects in every region and we have chosen two, because of comparison - Kosice and Ostrava region. The main goal of this work is to acquire knowledge about specifics of ICT sector in a conditions of medium-sized cities, such as Kosice and Ostrava, and to understand similarity and disparities of trend within this high-added-value sector in the context of a cluster initiatives, which are represented in both cities.
