Abstract
This thesis pursues design and realization of modules for AVR-KIT development kit and programming of this kit. Modules are meant for educational purposes for students. AVR-KIT development kit uses 8 bit processor ATMega32. Two modules were designed. First module consists of digital thermometer and 8 bit expander, which communicates with microprocessor via I2C bus. Second module contains 2 row character LCD display with backlight and contrast adjustment and with selectable 4 bit or 8 bit data bus. Procedure of design of PCB where complications were faced is part of this thesis. A programming language C was used for programming and AVR-GCC was used for compilation of the program. A libraries that contains functions for controlling modules were made for easy programming. Functionality was confirmed on test examples.
