Studie ochrany obyvatelstva při protržení hráze odkaliště u obce Ajky v Maďarsku

Abstract

This bachelor’s work is dedicated to processing and analyzing of the information concerned to the sludge reservoir dam break, which happened in Ajka, Hungary at October 4th 2010. The sludge reservoir was owned by company Magyar Alumíniumtermelő és Kereskedelmi Zrt. Introductory part of this work contains general description of emergencies and summary of the industrial accidents in the world, as well as Hungarian law concerning to rescue and disposal operations. It contains also basic attributes of harmed villages. Practical part of this work informs about history and establishing of mentioned aluminum production plant in Hungary, with a special regards to the accident in 2010, which was apparently caused by the hard rains, out-of-date technology and a lack of control. In the concluding part of this work, gained findings are analyzed and there are proposed measures for improving protection against industrial accidents.
