Abstract
The effect of the content of the stabilizing additive in the extruded multifilament fiber and its degradation when exposed to sunlight is investigated in the thesis. The aim of the work is to optimize – decrease or increase – the volume ratio of the additive in the product to reduce the price of input costs. The multifilament fiber is exposed to ultraviolet radiation in a chamber for accelerated aging for a period corresponding to exposure to sunlight for one, two, or three years according to the ČSN EN ISO 4892 standard. After exposure, the fiber must meet at least half the relative strength value during tensile tests. The relative strength values are given by the company's technical conditions. The result of the work is the achieved tensile test values above half the value of the relative strength given by the company's technical condition, both for the fiber in clear colour and the fiber in black colour. In the case of black fiber, there is a possibility of reducing the content of the stabilizing additive. The exact value of the dose of the stabilizing additive is the subject of further investigation.
