Financial Situation Assessment of the Electrical Appliance Manufacturer

Abstract

The aim of the bachelor thesis is s the financial analysis of Midea by applying selected methods like the common size analysis, financial ratio analysis and pyramidal decompositions including analysis of influences are used, which are based on the data from 2015-2018. These methods can analyse the financial statements to comprehend the business and operation performance. The bachelor thesis is divided into five chapters. The second chapter is the description of the methods of analysis used in the thesis in detail. First concentrating on the description of balance sheet, income statement and cash flow. Then the following description on common size analysis and financial ratio analysis; description on pyramidal decomposition and influence qualification. The third chapter will be focused on the information of Midea Group. It concentrates on the general situation of the company, including the history, main business areas, corporate culture. The fourth chapter, which is the most significant part of the bachelor thesis, will be concentrated on the financial analysis using the data from balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement. In this chapter, the methods described on the chapter two including common size analysis, financial ratios analysis, pyramidal decomposition and influence qualification will be used. The fifth chapter is the last part of the bachelor thesis, which will be draw a general conclusion about the advantages of Midea Group.
