Abstract

Dissertation approaches the problem of spatial development of displacements and so-called directional angles of tunnel excavation in dependence on rock mass quality and its anomalies, which affect stress – deformation conditions of rock mass. The first of two main parts is pointing to alternative way of evaluation of measured displacements obtained by using directional angles in two existing tunnels. Goal of this section is to demonstrate practical using of alternative ways of evaluation to prediction of local changes of geology or alternative way to monitoring of stress around the tunnel excavation and to show importance of monitoring displacements in direction of longitudinal axis of the tunnel. Second key section is analyzing of differences of spatial displacements development in homogenous surroundings in opposite to spatial displacements development in surroundings with the occurrence of inhomogeneities. For the solution of this task it has created mathematical models in software MIDAS GTS – 3D, which is based on the numerical method of finite elements (FEM). The aim of this section is to describe the influence of inhomogeneities on the spatial development of displacements and directional angles.
