The aim of the bachelor thesis is to determine the depth of calcination of gypsum plasterboards when exposed to fire. The first part of the thesis is aimed at describing the chemical nature of gypsum and its production. The history and structure of gypsum plasterboard is described along with its uses and distribution, the calcination process and the various methods for determining the depth of calcination. In the second, practical part, I focus on the description of the test models, the location of the temperature sensors, the methods used and the individual experimental runs. The measured data are evaluated in the very end of this work.
