Abstract

The introductory and theoretical part includes a short profile of the mining organization i.e. the core business, the most important laws and regulations under which it operates, a brief description of the issue of rescue work on wells underground gas storage facility. The next section describes a models commonly used in GIS and the overview of used vector data formats by the organization as well. The practical part describes the modelling of the road network especially to mining and technological objects of organization via the network analysis. The analyses of the endurance distance of vehicles of the Main Mining Rescue Service (HBZS) and the Fire Rescue Service from their stations and availability of water sources for crisis situations to individual objects have been done on the basis of the established model. At the same time the thematic maps have been created which includes a network of access roads from the station of HBZS to the objects of the organization and from the water sources to the wells and specifically for the operational activities of the organization.
