Abstract

For most of the castings in production it is necessary to make a hollow space in the casting through the use of produced cores. The production of cores emphasises on quality, accuracy, surface texture form stability after pouring, and ease of removal. In order to raise efficiency of core production it is advisable to use mechanical production of cores by using self solidifying mixture. This thesis focuses on verification of core production possibility by shooting with using of ST mixtures. Several important principles for correct regulation of separate parameters influencing final quality of machined produced cores were discovered during the core production tests. Numeric shooting simulations were used for the production of high-quality cores and the results were compared with reality and the quality of resultant cores.
