Abstract

Diploma work deals with effective removal of heavy metals from aqueous solutions using Walnut Shell. Biosorption, its mechanism, biosorbent and heavy metals are described in theoretical part. Methods of preparation of biosorbent, which includes grain size and thermal processing and than in chemical activation by hydrochlorid acid in concentration 0,1 mol/land 1 mol/lare contained in practical part. Biosorbent suitability or non-suitability have been verified by determination of sorption capacity (balance) and kinetics storage metals. The concentration of hexavalent chromium ions and bivalent zinc was calculated from the change in the concentration of metals in aqueous solution before and after equal sorption. Lost of weight was confirmed in all cases. Analysis of samples was performed by the spectrophotometric method.
