Abstract
The content of this thesis is a comparison of the position of small news portals operating on the Czech media market. Specifics and differences caused by a different ownership structure or a different way of functioning were also described. The comparison is focused on editorial work, content analysis, marketing strategies, ways of monetization, reader's favor and analysis of the competitive environment. Part of the work was also devoted to simulating the entrepreneurial intention of developing his own media project and evaluating his economic performance. In all cases, these are internet projects that exist, unlike conventional media, of certain specifics. These are also defined in the second chapter of the thesis.
