Bankovní krize v USA 2007-2008, přijatá opatření a jejich dopady

Abstract

The theme of the Diploma thesis is to evaluace the impacts of banking crisis 2007-2008 and adopted measures on american banking industry. Impacts are evaluated in terms of development indicators of concentration in american banking industry. In the theoretical part is included theoretical definition of financial and banking crisis and specific definitiv of banking crisis 2007-2008. The thesis also include describtion of mechanisms by which economic and political authorities can ease consequences of banking crises and also included specific measures adopted by american authorities. In the practical part is quantified development of concentration in american banking industry in the period before crisis and also during crisis. Indicators are identified for banks and bank holding companies. Finally there is description of the most signifiant events which led to an increase in concentration, especially mergers and acquisitions.
