Abstract

The aim of this diploma thesis is to elaborate the design and the assessment of the steel load-bearing structure of aggregate stacker obtained during tunnel excavation in Brenner Pass. The design respects basic requirements of the investor for the geometrical disposition of the structure. The proposal respects the requirements of the contracting authority regarding the technological or climatic load. Software, especially Scia Engineer and Idea Statica, are easy to use to model behavior and design. Specific evaluations according to the standards are accepted with outputs from both of the above-mentioned programs. Part of the thesis is a technical report, drawing documentation and a bill of materials.
