Abstract

This thesis focuses on joysticks and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and their application in biomedical engineering. It presents the design and implementation of a VHDL module for tracking the position of a joystick on a Nexys3 FPGA development board. The module's functionality is verified through a demonstration task that confirms its correct operation.
