Abstract

This thesis examines the role of transport infrastructure in EGTC TRITIA through a description of a current stand of the transport sector. The examination includes the preconditions of its development and suggests possible solutions of problem areas. The first part of the thesis is focused on the transport policy of the EU. In the research is used a method of analysing the conditions of road and rail network in EGTC TRITIA with appraisal of its weak spots. The findings from the research illustrate the possible ways of future development of transport. The results enable the setting of priority goals and areas for improving competitive ability and cross-border cooperation through a development of transport infrastructure.
