Abstract
This dissertation thesis is focused on controlled AC drives with induction machines. Main objective is application of modern sensorless methods of vector control for induction machine control. Main accent is given on estimation of rotor position by mathematical model using MRAS. Algorithms for rotor position estimation and regulation structure are implemented on 56F8037/E digital signal processor.
The thesis contains description and mathematic equations of induction machine. Model which respects magnetic saliency is used for simulation of the drive. In the next chapter, description of vector control for induction machine and description of experimental laboratory stand is shown. Also, analysis of rotor position estimation methods is described. Analysis is oriented on methods using mathematical model. Then, analysis and simulation of several variants of MRAS is presented. Next chapter contains experimental results of vector control of induction machine with MRAS speed estimation. Results and benefits are summarized in conclusion.
