Abstract

This thesis is devoted to the safety of padlocks. The current legislation related to locks is specified in first part of this thesis. The second chapter describe basic information and description of each type of padlocks and presents possible destructive and non-destructive methods of overcoming safety. On the basis of the selection analysis in practical part of this thesis, three padlocks were chosen. Evaluation and verification of the declared safety class of locks results from the selected mechanical testing. Innovative alternative to increase safety padlocks and economic assessment is presented in the final part of this thesis.
