Vstupování potenciálně toxických prvků do rostlin na ložisku Ľubietová

Abstract

The diploma thesis is dealing with the problems of the potential toxic elements getting into plants in the brownfield Ľubietová – Podlipa. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis is looking into features, history and formation of brownfield area. It also focuses on potentially toxic elements it describes their character and risks that arise when these elements get into plants. The practical part focuses on performed analysis of soil and plant samples. It was found the studied area is contaminated with quite a number of potentially toxic elements. The potentially toxic elements in plants and soil obtained in pile Ľubietová – Podlipa were found to have higher concentration of elements Fe, Cu, Zn, Pb, Ag, Cd, Ni, Co, As and Sb. The dispose of the potentially toxic elements from brownfield will be done by phytostabilization. The research has displayed the woody plants that occur in the brownfield are suitable for phytostabilization and they can catch the potentially toxic elements and can prevent them spreading further into surrounding soil or water. The wood plants and their phytostabilization would prevent the health risk for local population and their gardens close to brownfiled Podlipa. The studied wood plants are Abies alba, Pinus sylvestris, Quercus petraea, Betula pendula and Salix fragilis.
