Abstract

The spatial analysis of traffic accidents in the Czech Republic provides the localization of road segments and crossroads with above-average traffic accidents occurrence. Furthermore, also other external sources possibly influencing the accidents occurrence can be considered using additional data sources. Traffic accidents spatial data are specific due to the limitation to road network. Given this, modified alternatives of traditional spatial data analysis techniques must be used for the evaluation of their spatial distribution, i.e. for determination of black spots. The thesis presents main principles of spatial analyses of traffic accidents data since 2009 and describes the situation in selected areas in regions of the Czech Republic and targeted use of spatial analysis tools of SANET.
