Abstract

The aim of the diploma thesis is to investigate the influence of drawing lubricating oils on the production process of cold drawing wire. From the proposed types of oils, select a suitable type for the production of wire drawing and replace it with the existing lubricant used. The theoretical part deals with the production of wire by cold drawing and their individual operations, affecting the surface of the wire and subsequent lubrication during drawing. The practical part is focused on the research of the effects of individual oils in cold wire drawing. The oils were recommended and supplied by the contacted suppliers. The evaluation was focused on influencing the magnitude of the tensile force and the balance of oil residues on the final product of the drawn wire. Assessment of evaluated results, individual recommendations and suggestions for further testing and optimization are described in the conclusion.
