Komparace rodinné politiky v České republice a ve Švédsku

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to compare the tools of family policy in the Czech Republic and Sweden. This comparison suggests possible improvements in the support system for families in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter of the thesis includes description of the basic characteristics of family policy along with its principles and objects. Population trends in Europe and current trends in family policy are also depicted here in this section. The next chapter analyzes the demographic situation and development of the family policy in the Czech Republic and Sweden. The chapter also deals with a comparison of specific tools which are currently used by the Czech and the Swedish State. The last chapter is focused on the evaluation of the effectiveness of financial and non-financial instruments of family policy in the Czech Republic and Sweden. Mutual comparison and evaluation of these support tools provide the necessary basis for expressing specific recommendations for improvements in the area of family support for the Czech Republic.
